hunka-hunka burning crud

A piece of trash, utter shit. This term is a variation of the phrase "hunka-hunka burning love" from the song "Burning Love" by the one and only Elvis Presley.

During the week of August 16 (Elvis death anniversary) a TV network had an "Elvis flick" about how his ghost haunts the city of Memphis and gives advice to some local residents. The TV guide said that the TV movie would make Elvis spin in his grave - don't waste your time, it's a hunka-hunka burning crud.

hunkey

A general term to describe european immigrant workers at the turn of the Century. It started as a collective term by Bohemian, Hungarian, and Polish workers in the meat district of Chicago as "bohungs". African-American workers borrowed the prase and shortened first to "hungs" and later to "hunks" due to the easier pronunciation of voiceless Velar (K instead G). After work these men hung at Bars which had a Piano made by Mr. Tunk, thusly the
"honkeytunk bar" name originated.

Some sistahs prefer to date a hunkey instead of brothes.

First introduced and popularized by George H.W. Bush, this southern-American slang means to toughen up and get ready for a rough time. This irritating phrase is now used regularily on CNN in conjunction with phony technical malfunctions and microphone tilts towards the wind in an effort to sensationalize their hurricane coverage.

"We're going to have to hunker down and fight the evil-doers" - George H.W. Bush

"Everyone is hunkered down and not a single person is around to speak with us" - CNN in a remote field at 4am during hurricane Wilma
