Bureautocracy

A bureaucracy that functions as though the individual bureaus and bureaucrats are making authoritative decisions independently of all the other bureaus and bureaucrats.

Generally used among college students to describe the situation of having to resolve a problem (billing, financial aid, holds, transfers of credits, etc) independently at each level of administration rather than just once at the originating department.
Johnny paid his library fines and the librarian removed the registration-hold from his account, but because of the bureautocracy he had to show the receipt to registration, accounts receivable, and the bursar before he could actually register for classes.

Adjustment Bureau

They monitor the entire universe and make sure everyones lives go according to a predetermined plan. When someone does something that was not predetermined they warn them of the dangers and try to convince them to not go off the predetermined life, for unforseen consequences will unravel if they do.
The Adjustment Bureau control everything but I will not let them control my life. I will fight for my free will!

Boy Scout Bureaucracy

A heirarchy within an organisation which serves only to reward members by awarding token power, perks or responsibility based on attributes such as age or long service, rather than competency.

Although its name is derived from the award of rank within the Boy Scouts, the Boy Scout Bureaucracy is prevalent in many (usually amateur) groups and organisations, such as church groups, the WI, or any other situation which requires a committee or old age pensioners.
The tough kids always sit at the back of the bus due to the operation of a boy scout bureaucracy.

"Why do I have to clean out the fryers?"
"Because I said so, and I've got 3 stars on my badge and you've only got 2."

The new landlord of the pub wanted to install a jukebox, but the locals wouldn't allow it.

How come that kid always choses the music in the common room?
Dunno, he just does. Boy scout bureauocracy I guess.

"You can't sit there, that's Old Bert's seat."
"I can't see his name on it"
"Move or there'll be troube - he always sits there."

Burbank

is a drinking game.
Burbank is a mixture of the classic drinking games of flip cup and beer pong. Rules: Each team has 6 cups set up in the triangle fashion as it is done in the parent game beer pong. There are two teams, with between 3-10 teammates per side. One team, usually the winner from the previous starts by shooting a beer pong ball at the triangle of cups. If said shooter makes the shot, both teams begin a relay of flip cup. However, the shooter himself/herself does not par take, giving that team the advantage for having made the shot. If the team that made the shot wins the relay, the cup is removed from the opposing teams triangle. However, if the team that did not make the shot wins the flip cup relay, they refill the cup with beer and replace back in the triangle. For the shooting, one player from each team shoots head to head for up to three shots each. If neither team makes a shot in the three turns, then the teams rotate one person, and continue doing this until a team makes a cup. Once all of a teams cups have been removed, the game is over and that team has lost.
History: Named after the city Burbank, California. Was created by three Burbank citizens with initials J.K,K.R, and T.D.N.; while playing beer pong in San Diego at San Diego State University.
Local Burbankian legend J.A.S. is an aggregate 7-0 at Burbank, the only known undefeated player in history
Every party in history should have the drinking game Burbank involved in some way.
