They will pretend they can do things like skateboarding or bmx, but when asked to show you they will say they don't feel like it. They will also listen to the same music as everyone else when last week they listened to classical music. They often say they like the artists their friends like but can't name any of their songs.

Get the Posermug. A poser is someone who acts like someone he/she is not to act cool. A poser will pretend to know all the latest trends that apply to the group he/she is trying to fit in with, but the poser will actually have no clue whatsoever.
This term mostly applies to stupid girls who try to act like Queen Bees they see on TV, by acting even MORE retarded (and telling people about it), speaking in a nasaly tone, acting like a drama queen (and being proud of it), pretending to have Paris Hilton-related problems, dropping names of designer brands she obviously doesn't wear, and/or claiming that she is a trash talker even though a 3 year old's putdowns could make her burst into fake tears.

Get the posermug. An intravert seen as an extrovert is posing as an extrovert. Allowing people to see you as or representing yourself as an extrovert when you're not an extrovert is posing rather than being yourself.
There are a lot of characters on tv shows people think of as extroverted people in real life. The same goes for the news and different forms of media, the internet, music. A poser is somebody you think is a certain way naturally based on what you'be seen and heard through a media source.
