The term used by old rap heads whom can't handle that music genres change over time and evolve or either die out.
They use it to describe hip hop artists that of which they cannot accept are the future of the genre and resent them for their new swing on the genre.This lead to an almost a civil war among the rap community that is still going on today.Mumble rap is recognised by its heavy trap beat or it lyrics that of which some people can't understand.
"Mumble rap" split from hip hop in the recent days as more of the artists became more mainstream, the schism of the genres only enrichened the divide between rap and hip hop and has helped with bridgening the gap between the happy side of rap and the sad side of rap leading to more groups of people enjoying rap music.This cultural enlightenment lead to more and more people to be influenced by the genre (remember music is down to opinion and no ones opinion is wrong )

Mumble Bubble

A prank in which one farts or burps, and then mumbles something incoherent. When the victims come closer to hear what was said, they are subjected to the foul odor, only to find out what was mumbled was the phrase "Mumble Bubble".

Mumblefuck

When the person you're talking to is mumbling and you can't understand a damn thing they're saying. Usually used in situations where they're giving you important information like a reservation number or directions on how to get somewhere.

A typical mumblefuck conversation.
"Can I get your order please?"
"Yeah-um...I'd *mumble*...and then *mumble* large *unknown stammering*"
"I'm sorry, what?"

"Hey, Amy, how do we get to your house from downtown?"
"You'll go down *mumble mumble mumble*...after that you'll take a *mumble* onto 4th *mumble*
"Hold on, Amy, just a sec....Guys, can you shut up for a sec, this is a real mumblefuck conversation and all your talking isn't making this any easier to hear."

Mumble Rap

A word 80 year olds or edgy 13 year olds use to describe modern hip hop song where lyrics aren’t super deep and meaningful. Not all songs are going to have deep lyrics and not every song from the 90s was Brendas Got A Baby. You guys need to open your eyes sometimes.
