To dismiss any conceivable level of accountability for incompetence, laziness, or simply being terrible at one's job on account of there being a global pandemic in 2020 through 2022 referred to as COVID-19. When questioned as to the meaning of the incompetence, laziness, or being terrible at the said job, the personal in question will offer a shrug of the shoulders while meekly muttering "covid."
Frank was having trouble finding mulch at Walmart but when he asked the employee where he might find it, the worker merely rolled his eyes and muttered "covid," thereby executing a covid shrug with perfect grace...
Person 1 (ordering at Wendy's): "Excuse me, there's a problem with my order."
Wendy's cashier: "whaaaa..."
Person 1: "I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and a Coke and it appears you brought me Taco Bell."
Wendy's cashier: (offering a covid shrug) "Oh....***shrugs*** covid..."
