Recon

Short for "reconstructionist". Used in Pagan and Heathen religious circles to describe those who base their beliefs and practices more in historically accurate, usually scholarly, sources than in contemporary Neopagan and Wiccan sources.

I was invited to a Wiccan Midsummer gathering, but being a Celtic Recon, I knew there really wouldn't be much there for me.
