predatory marketing

Disrespectful, inconsiderate, and at times aggressive and ultimately hurtful marketing to help manufacturers and retailers take as much advantage of consumers as possible.
Decades ago every item sold in a store had a price tag, now the retailers don't waste energy, thus money, sticking a price tag on each item or at least displaying a sign that informs consumers the price. That is just one example of predatory marketing. My definition of 'predatory marketing' is different than a more common one which states that it is any activity instigated—usually, by the larger manufacturer—to tangibly harm or eliminate smaller competitiors.

marketing garp

Misleading nonsense used by major corporations to deceive customers.
Twitter was the free speech wing of the free speech party, and Facebook was making the world more open and connected, but not really. That was all just marketing garp.

Northgate Market

A place where mexicans buy groceries and talk about life. White people are always seen out of place when they walk into Northgate because they butcher the Spanish language and always say "Gracias' in the most white way ever. You can also meet girls there and fight employees.

Central Market

A gourmet supermarket chain originating in Austin, Texas and owned by H.E.B. supermarkets of San Antonio. All 7 locations are in Texas.

Locations exist in the four major metropolitan regions of the state—Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. The number of locations in each of the metro areas is 4, 1, 1, and 1 respectively. This is ironic, as H.E.B. does not have and never has had any of their regular supermarket locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area while having a large presence in the other three regions. However, this may be due to the very competitive nature of Dallas/Fort Worth's grocery business environment.

The Central Market concept has been very successful and well-received since its inception. One is hard-pressed to find an equivalent in other U.S. states in terms of store size, gourmet/world product selection, price competitiveness, and customer traffic. The store is viewed by both the company and its customers as a destination supermarket, much like IKEA is viewed as a destination furniture store or The Home Depot's EXPO Design Center is viewed as a destination home interiors store.

All Central Market locations feature "Cafe on the Run," a fast-gourmet eatery catering to both shoppers and non-shoppers alike. Special events also occur at the markets weekly or monthly. Some locations have live music, an upstairs lounge, and other amenities.
I went to Central Market yesterday to pick up some Fenilla olives and garbonzola cheese.

Wal*Marketing

1. Really bad fugly advertising using a lot of cliches, starbursts, etc.

2. Selling cheap shit merchandise to the masses.

3. TV commercials for car dealers with a lot of screaming and yelling with jack asses wearing big ugly cowboy hats or wearing costumes.
1. Steve just loves Wal*Marketing. Everything he asks me to design looks like an ad for Costco or Walmart.

2. Wal-Mart invented the concept of Wal*Marketing. Everything in that store is cheap shit made in China.

3. Cal Worthington is totally into Wal*Marketing with his stupid TV commercials.
