when you mash two words to make anew but un-official word. For example: carate is a word when that comes out when you mash up cat and pirate.

Filler word

They're, like, some words you uh... you throw them in when you don't know what to say. Used in the middle of sentences when... um... you're trying to think of a point. Common examples are "uh," "um," and "like." Overuse of them can, like, totally ruin the tone of sentences and make you look weird.
So, uh... this is the part where I, like, put a sentence that uses filler words... um... I can't really think of anything.

Saying this means that what you are saying is absolutely correct, and you do not have to put up money to prove it, you just say it. The term originates from the financial markets where hirstorically traders woul tell each other "my word is bond", i.e. my word is good enough, you don't need it in writing
