When any part of the body appears to take on the characteristics of rubber, usually resulting from an impact.
Gustav: Wow dude, you slammed your leg pretty hard. I thought you broke it!

Dorito effect

The shaking, jerking illusion created by chewing on a crunchy food like corn or tortilla chips while watching an analog (NTSC) television.
That scene with the ferrets and the bounce house was really funny, but I had to back it up and watch it again because I wasn't sure if it was the clip or the Dorito effect.

The Shanza Effect

The idea that when a person says "I have to pee" the people around her develop a need to go to the bathroom as well.
<person 1> "I really need to pee"

<person 2> "Damn, now I need to too"

<person 3> "Thus the Shanza effect is set in motion, I have to pee too"

Shampoo Effect

(noun) The effect of having that first drink the next day, after a long night of drinking, and it gives you a good buzz right away. Much like how quickly the shampoo lathers as you apply it the second time.
Whoa, dude, I'm gettin' a heavy shampoo effect from this morning's bloody mary.

Hiroshima effect

Hiroshima Effect

Refers to the sudden rush or onset of a state of intoxication that occurs after the user enters a warm climate after consuming Marijuana out in the cold.

Usually associated with the consumption of Marijuana or Marijuana derivative.

Unknown origin, but assumed to be coined in Ontario, Canada around 1988.
It draws on the idea that a sudden rush or onset of extreme intoxication (really high) is like being hit by an atomic bomb.
Smoking a joint in the parking lot of a nightclub in weather below -5C, gives you a little buzz. However, when you go inside to a very warm dance floor you suddenly realize how incredibly stoned you are.
This is the Hiroshima effect.

The Williams Effect

The substantial and long-sustained decrease in intelligence and social aptitude test scores measured in many aspects of one's life starting roughly the time they become friends with a particular individual. There is no cure for the Williams Effect.
My friends tell me my social sensibilities have decreased upon moving in with my roommate. #TheWilliamsEffect

I thought I was immune to the Williams Effect until I found myself discussing MMA and WWE wrestling after a few short weeks of hanging with Alex.
