noun: a condition, in which a person or animal spontaneously lurches into spasmodic movements consistent with a baby calf which appears to be kicking with its hind legs at a swarm of flies which aren't there; vocalization that is sharp and loud accompanies this action. The duration of this condition is seconds to minutes.

One teacher: "How are your kids today?"
Other teacher answers: "Shit, man, they've got the screaming yips. I'm about to lose my shit!"

Yippy

A yuppy/hippy. A yuppy with hippy sensibilities. It is all about proving that we can live in the world without destroying it and each other. It is like liberalism 2.0 which is born out of the sensibilities and youth movements of the late 80s and 90s.

John is a yippy and he is going to save the planet.

Paige is a yippy. She works in advertising, drives a small hybrid, makes loads of money, and believes in communal living and renewable clean energies.

Yipster

Yipster is derived form the word combination of Yuppie & HipsterA yipster is a person whose physical appearance resembles a hipster, but yet, rejects the uber philosophy of hipsterdom. Since they don't side with one side or the other, they tend to think that they are above everyone else. They are people who would hang out in an up and coming area, but yet never live in that area.

look at that guy with the skinny jeans.. he's talking to a room full of popped collar, khaki wearing guys discussing their plans for the DMB concert. He must be a Yipster.
