It is more shameful when the establishment has already opened again for business and people watch your drunk ass get in the car that's been sitting there since they arrived. So you try to accomplish this as early as possible without being seen. The drive usually involves a fast-food stop.

I was up at 6:00 a.m. to get my drive of shame over with.
