National Library of Wales

Old place, "full" of old people - situated on Penglais Hill in Aberystwyth. They want to impress each other there with "hellos and sut maes" (and The Assembly!). A good collection of very good books! Unfortunately not appealing to the wider public!

It could do better - well, certain things never change. Go there for the view! Good employer in the area. It is a beautiful building. Strange librarian I would not trust though.

Neo-Liberal

Neoliberalism refers to a political-economic philosophy that has had major implications for government policies beginning in the 1970s and increasingly prominent since 1980– that de-emphasizes or rejects government intervention in the economy, focusing instead on structured free-market methods, and fewer restrictions on business operations and that the most important class of rights to expand are those of property enforcement, and of opening nations to entry by multinational corporations. In a broader sense it is used to describe the movement towards using the market to achieve a wide range of social ends previously filled by government.
It is generally hostile to protectionism, social democracy and socialism. It is often at odds with fair trade and other movements that argue that labor rights and social justice should have a greater priority in international relations and economics.

A stark contrast to the earlier entry.

The Democrats in America are nothing more than a bunch of Neo-liberals, and the Republicans are freaking Neo-cons!

library monster

A creature that lurks behind stacks and in between shelves. It will commonly devour small children. Sometimes the monster will reorder books from its favorite to its least favorite rather than adhering to the dewey decimal system. The library monster's greatest foe is the librarian. They are born when a creeper lurks in the shelves for too long and eventually becomes a library monster.

"I've seen that girl lurking around the stacks a lot lately. She's probably going to become a library monster."

Male patron in library queue to take out the latest Stephen King novel: (Wolf Whistle at the librarian behind the reference desk) Damn she's hot!
Female friend of male patron: (pouting) You never whistle like that for me. :-(
Male patron: (rolls eyes) You're not a librarian. Librarians are sexier then all of us. You have a librarial complex my jealous unsexy friend.

When you go insane from spending too long in the library and start to find everything funny. Similar to cabin fever.

A library face is defined as someone who appears to be an avid library visitor. This phrase is intentionally vague for people to interpret it how they want. A person with a library face is often annoying and lacks women.
