plus one

In engineering culture, "plus one" is used to indicate agreement to a stated position, usually used during a sprint retrospective; emphasis takes the form of "plus N+1", where `$N>0 and $N<∞`, with the only acceptable (unobnoxious) form being "plus 2". The written form is always expressed in shorthand, or "+N", where `$N>0`.

"We can incentivize engineers, to write documentation, by making it a requirement of user story acceptance". Most of the ops team muttered "plus one" and went back to ignoring the PM; the mostly invisible technical writer, Stu, sat up and shrieked "plus a million" and then shrunk under the glare of the few frontend developers that bothered showing up.

n. the state of being declared permanently mental deficient (see 5150) due to the chronic void of rationalization. Frequently due to repeated states of being "on one".

When you're "gone one", you become frequently susceptible to the repeated monitoring of the "tweaker blinds".
