Texting

A recently facinating type of communication by cellular devices that everyone; and I mean EVERYONE seems to be using. Apparently it's mentally &, physically addictive; much like sex....or Myspace. Mainly consists of a few shortened words that often have no meaning what-so-ever.

A texting conversation is usually somewhere along these lines:

"ayyye"
"Hello."
"wadup"
"The Ceiling, You Fucktard."
"lyk omfg u dont got 2 b so bitchy"
"I Wouldn't Be, If You Learned To Use Proper English."
"fck u"
"Yeah, Up Yours!"

Short-Texting

When one party in a text-message conversation chooses to reply with extremely short, vague sentences in order to try and kill the conversation and end communication with the opposing texter.

An Example of Short-Texting:

Texter1: Hey omg so you totally looked really hot today at the mall hahaha

Texter2: Ya.

Texter1: Omg so anyways do you like the band coldplay?

Texter2: No.

Texter1: Oh okay thats okay so whats up?

Texter2: Nothing.

Texter1:...

Texter1 has just been Short-Texted.

five second rule of texting

The rule stating a DOUBLE TEXT is ok AS LONG AS the second text message is sent within 5 seconds of the first.

I double texted Shelly, but it was ok cuz I used the Five Second Rule of Texting.

Sleep Texting

when you send a text to someone while your either sleepy, awoken from sleep, or just plain not paying attention, and it makes absolutly no sense what so ever.

Erik: Hey man, you going to that party this weekend?

Zach: No man, I don't want a chocolate sunday.

Erik: Wtf?

Zach: Oh sorry man. I fell asleep last night. I must have been sleep texting you XD.
