This is a combination of "don't over do it" and "don't push it" when someone is over doing something in order to gain something and "pushing his luck" you tell him to stop doing it.

"don't over push it! you already asked me 3 times to give you money!"

dude, that quadruple-backflip double-twist one-handed going backwards while blindfolded and sucking a lolly (deep breath) surf manoeuvre was really pushing the envelope.
