Harvard Westlake

Harvard-Westlake School is "an independent co-educational day school for grades 7-12 in Los Angeles and North Hollywood." Though it is notoriously known as being full of snobby, rich kids who usually buy themselves in, this is a stupid stereotype. though there definitely are some cases of this, especially in some of the younger grades, it really just depends on who you hang out with. As each grade gets successively more challenging everyone who can't keep up either leaves or gets kicked out so in the end, everyone whose there really deserves to be there.
Even though Harvard-Westlake has a very pretty intense work load, it takes good care of it's students and some (not all though...)of the sports teams are pretty good. They also have a good music program and an amazing dance program too.

Omg Jane, I got to bed at like 2 in the morning last night because I go to Harvard Westlake.

Harvard Curve

When the woman students begin to look good after you have been there for awhile. They might not really be good looking but to you, since there's not much else to choose from, they start to appear really hot.

Harvard student and his friends from other universities on summer break. "Hey, dude, check out that hot chick from my school." Friend from other university replies, "which hot chick, there's only one girl in the room and she's is not hot." "Oh yeah, I guess you're right. It must have been due to the Harvard curve that everyone at school thought she was so smokin' but I see what you mean now."

A well-known independent high school in Studio City, CA. The student body is composed of about 1,500 kids highly invested in their education. Most students participate actively in extracurriculars such as the visual and performing arts, as well as athletic teams. Harvard Mouth

Occurs when a person, usually of private schooling (Harvard/Yale/Princeton/etc), in an effort to show their superiority corrects a person's usage of grammar/verbage/word choice in spoken conversation. The reason for this is threefold: A) Their education costs a ridiculous amount, and while this education is in no way superior to a public school education, they feel the need to try and show how amazing going to a private school was by becoming the grammar police. B) This is usually done to hide their huge inferiority complex because they spent a shit ton on their education and that still does not make them special, and by correcting others in such mundane topics harkens back to days of yore where they sat at the head of the class as the teacher's pet. C) No one has been paying any attention to them for the past 5 minutes and their fragile narcissistic personality can not handle the 5 minute descent in obscurity by not being the center of attention.

Harvard-Yale situation

A scenario in which a prestigious institution is in close competition with a slightly less prestigious institution. Named after, of course, Harvard and Yale.

Both sports teams were good, but one always seemed to push just a little past the other. It was a real Harvard-Yale situation.
