horse doctor

Someone whose solution to a problem is significantly more harmful than the problem itself. Similar to how in veterinary medicine with horses, the solution for a broken leg or ankle is often euthanasia.

Guy 1: “we ran in to a few minor setbacks on the project, but now Ryan wants to cancel the entire thing!”
Guy 2: “yeahhh, getting that guy involved is always risky. He’s a real horse doctor.”

The President's spin doctors have been getting them out of major trubble for generations.

A sci-fi tv series about a timelord, an alien, who travels through space and time in a time machine known as the TARDIS. They watch history happen and make history happen. Matt Smith and Karen Gillan star in the current showing of the series, but there have been many more doctors and companions before them. The previous stars were David Tennant and Billie Piper.

Slang for Provigil, the brand name for the remarkable prescription drug Modafinil.
