A person, generally wearing a vest designating them as a "peacekeeper," that confronts counter-protesters at political demonstrations.

A guy wearing a Nazi t-shirt was wanting to start trouble, but a peacekeeper stepped in and kept him from the crowd of peaceful protesters.

Puerto Rican Peacekeeper

n. A Puerto Rican kept chained to your mailbox to keep any and all small children out of your yard. Usually equipped with a giant log for said flogging of babies. Usually of a more muscular caliber. Can be adopted or bought at a local Mental Iinstitution.

Little kid: "hold on i think the ball landed in Mr. Jose's yard.

Puerto Rican Peacekeeper: *ar rahg rahg rahg rahg groooooowl*

Little kid : Jesus in heaven help me!!! He has my fucking left testicle in his jaws!!! Oh dear Christ the pain!!!

United Nations peacekeeping operation

The use of personnel to maintain already existing peace by monitoring arms control agreements and/or a demilitarized zone in an area where violence threatens to break out, organized under the direction of a United Nations treaty or agreement, for example the creation and use of an outer space peacekeeping agency under as described in the Space Preservation Treaty.

The United States is the only obstacle to establishing support for a peacekeeping operation in space by refusing to ratify the Space Preservation Treaty.

Peacekeeper

A group of well funded, well supplied, and we'll armed troops with very limited rules of engagement. Usually put in place as foreign aid to assist a government change it's laws and policy's.

My counties government mandated vasectomies for all men above age 12. The protests and uprising was so intense, peacekeepers has to be brought in to make sure vasectomies we're enforced peacefully
