auto-sarchasm

The unwitting use of sarchasm upon oneself.
If I say "refudiate" to Sarah Palin or one of her fans, that's sarchasm. When Sarah Palin or one of her fans says "refudiate", believing that it's a real word, that's auto-sarchasm.

Sarchasm

Noun. The gap in understanding between a person making a smart-ass remark, and the person who doesn't get it.
I said "oh yeah, I'd LOVE to come to his wedding, and he's actually invited me!"
"Ah; that's the sarchasm".
