Refresh addict

One who is addicted (physiologically or psychologically dependent) on refreshing the email inbox and web pages, such as Twitter or blogs.

Some might think he's working hard but he actually keeps refreshing his MySpace inbox all day long. He's such a refresh addict.

1. When an email account is onpen, one may recieve a new email and unless one "refreshes ones inbox" one might not know one had the email.

Refresh Life

Refresh life, derived from continuously refreshing they're social networking apps to see what people are doing every 5 minutes because they're THAT bored. They usually like and comment on every pic that gets posted. These apps can vary from Facebook to Instagram to Twitter. Those who are considered to be living the "refresh life" can even be noted to continuously refresh sports apps (to keep up with live games). People who live the refresh life are missed when they're gone.

Ex 1:

Me: YO she liked your picture like 10 seconds after you posted it..feed her it

other guy: nahhhh man, she's bout that refresh life, its what she does to everyone

Ex 2:

other guy: yo I thought she was bout that refresh life? she followed me this morning but hasn't been liking any of my pics?....wtf??

me: chill man her phone's probably dead or something.

Covid Refresh Finger

A painful syndrome causing stiffness and exhaustion to the click-finger when you have to refresh and refresh and refresh and refresh the website trying to get a COVID-19 vaccination appointment.

Sure I have Covid Refresh Finger, but it was totally worth it because I got on the schedule for the vaccine!

Sandra is a Covid Refresh Finger long-hauler: she's been trying to get an appointment for two weeks, but with no luck. She may never be able to click a mouse ever again...

While Covid Refresh Finger is hardly the worst effect of the pandemic, we certainly shouldn't ignore the real suffering.

Repetitive refresh syndrome

A facebook illness that involves constantly hitting the refresh button on the task bar. Usual symptoms include unusual amounts of joy at notifications, and using the refresh button until notifications appear, with often as little as 5 seconds between refreshes.

Steve sat and stared at his computer screen. He had left the girl on which he had a crush a comment, over two hours ago, but she still had not responded. Steve found himself unable to remove himself from the computer, and unable to wait for her to write back. He sat, mindlessly refreshing his facebook home page until a notification appeared. Steve suffers from Repetitive refresh syndrome.
