Jumped the shark

A metaphor that identifies the exact moment a TV show has reached its creative peak. Or to put it bluntly, it’s the beginning of the end of a once great show. The moment in which it becomes clear the writers are out of good ideas and the show has begun its decent downhill. It’s usually some ridiculous stunt, story line, major character change, or huge fundamental shift in the premise of the show that is viewed as nothing more than a desperate attempt to raise viewership and declining ratings. The phrase refers to an episode of the popular 1970’s sitcom Happy Days, in which one of the main characters is water skiing (while wearing his trademark leather motorcycle jacket mind you), and literally jumps over a shark.

As far as I’m concerned, America’s Next Top Model jumped the shark when Tyra chose that air-headed idiot Nicole as the winner, instead the much more talented and deserving Nik.

noah jupe is a 16 year old british actor, born in london. he played marcus abbot in a quiet place and a quiet place part II. he played jack will in wonder and plays as henry fraser in the tv show, the undoing. he stared alongside shia labeouf as otis in the movie honey boy in 2019. he was born on february 25th 2005, making him a pisces. he has a very special talent for what he does and will go on to act in many more incredible movies and tv shows. timothée chalamet complimented his acting in an interview talking about how he would like noah to play a younger version of himself stating “noah jupe, he could play me. that guy is an incredible actor”

It's like jumping the shark but worse. Not only does the show now suck but it's sticky and smells like shit. Not to mention it ruined a pair of good shorts.

Diff'rent Strokes was great until they introduced that annoying little redheaded kid. Now that show is shit - it defintely "jumped the shart".
