When you get on an empty elevator, fart, and get off the elevator while someone else is getting on. The person who is getting on the elevator as you leave will experience "stink in a box".

I had a rough time on the way up here to your floor. I should have taken the stairs had I known someone left me a stink in a box.

The next level of nerdiness. It is beyond dork on ice. A nerd in a box is trapped in their own nerdiness and cannot escape. The level of nerd exhausted from the original nerd is released into the box and circulates around the nerd making the nerd even more nerdy.

buddy 2: yeah she's such a nerd in a box

Raccoon in a Box

Raccoon in a Box is meant to be synonymous for weed. Specifically, weed sold by someone going door-to-door selling "magazines" out of bins or Tupperware in order to earn money for a "trip to France" usually by someone who obviously has no business going to France.

And it follows that the phrase "letting that raccoon out the box" can refer to smoking said weed, as well as a song written for the originators of said phrase.

Yo man, I just traded my couch for a whole tub of raccoon in a box.
