friend in law 

When two people have the same level of friendship with a mutual but they exist in different contexts of the mutual's life. The two can and likely do cross paths from time to time, but without the mutual the two have no unique connection to one another.

Ex: my best friend from college and my best friend from my hometown are friend in laws

Girl 1: Are you coming to my bachelorette party this weekend?
Girl 2: Yes! And I'm so excited to finally meet my friend in laws!!
