A term used to describe a long "lull" in a performed song. Coined by Lynard Skynard fans in the 1970's.

There was a long solo in the song, so the crowd yelled: "Freebird!"

The act of intentionally changing the actual results of an election, poll, or group decision by manipulating the final count to reflect the outcome desired by the person tallying the information.

Ex. 1: The senior class president didn’t like the class’ choice of “Free Bird” as their graduation song, so she decided to freebird, replacing it with her favorite.

Ex. 2: The principal freebirded the results of the students’ “Movie Night” vote, choosing a more appropriate movie.

Ex. 3: Ignoring all evidence, the news commentator freebirded statistics on Black Lives Matter, decrying them to be a terrorist organization

possibly the best song in american music history. used by many as a guiding light as to how to lead their lives. the song is often heard coming form the windows of an iroc camaro or an el camino, and is always a classsic tune for weddings or funerals.

Should be taken in a historic, scenic, or dangerous place preferably in background so as to accentuate the place, not your ass. Named for the scene in Forrest Gump where Jenny stands on the balcony ledge, wind blowing her dress, as she contemplates jumping with "Free bird" playing in the background.
