A first person shooter game, developed and published by Ubisoft on November 29th in Australia, November 30th in Europe and December 4th in America. It is a sequel to Far Cry 2.
The game is about a group of people who went skydiving, and landed on an island with pirates, rebels and others. The goal of the game is to, of course, beat the campaign, but the other goals are to 1. activate radio towers 2. liberate outposts 3. do quests, and 4. free roam the islands.
There is also a map editor, where you can build a map using terrain leveling, adding trees, and selecting from over 2000 objects, including, but not limited to, huts, shanty towns, ancient ruins, WW2 relics, mining bases and Chinese tombs. You can also add accessories, like furniture, roads, etc.

Get the Far cry 5 mug.A solid demonstration of Ubisoft's inability to make good working backend software to allow good co-op sessions for a video game, despite it being 2022 and multiplayer games have been out for the past 20 years. Instead the game excels on throwing multiple networking errors while Ubisoft's IT team blames you and your router/console while their networking team is celebrating their utter ineptitude for making basic software.
