A term that refers to a a character or symbol within a franchise or stream of media that is used as a way to promote the brand. An example would would be the minions from Despicable Me, or the Porgs from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. This term was coined by YouTuber IHE. He explained the definition of the term in his video titled: Show Dogs (2018) - The Search For The Worst - IHE.
