Desperation Debating

A move during an argument or discussion whereby a person (almost always a woman) has absolutely no comeback and knows in a fair fight they're beaten, forcing them into a totally nonsensical, unrelated Hail Mary response. This strategy occurs when the person (almost always a woman) either realizes the other person is right and it's best to try to throw them off or when they're simply an idiot.

Fred calmly explained to his wife Mandy that her continued credit card expenditures at high end department stores would likely threaten the family's ability to pay their bills, and definitely end any chance of sending their children to college. Desperation Day

February the 13th, i.e. the day before Valentines day. On which single people try desperately to find someone to spend Valentines day with.

Considered by some men (and women) to be the best time of the year to pick up someone for a one night stand.

The act of someone writing "Thumbs up if..." at the beginning of their youtube comment as a desperate attempt to make their comments rank in the Highest Rated Comments, even though it gives them no real gain.

Thumbs up if you hate it when people begin their youtube comments with 'thumbs up if...' because they have too much Thumbs Up Desperation.

post-defecation euphoria

The unbridled joy experienced by a domestic house cat following a bowel movement. Often leads to abnormal playfulness and spurts of energy. Humans can experience this phenomenon, but the human response is more internalized.

The cat woke me up last night darting back and forth down the hallway. I'm guessing it was post-defecation euphoria. Can't blame the guy.
