When an event, or other plans get cancelled because of the COVID-19 virus (more widely, and incorrectly, referred to as the "coronavirus") in one word, you can say they got CORONAed.

We were super hyped for E3 this year but it got CORONAed.

The Toronto Raptors are NBA champs for 2 years running because the NBA season got CORONAed in 2020.
