Cannabis

The point of this entry should really be this: That the word "Cannabis" is not slang at all. Instead it is the accepted botanical Genus name for the plant we know by so many other slang and colloquial terms: Hemp, Pot, Marijuana, Ganja, Weed, etc. etc. (Cannabis sps. sativa, indica, and ruderalis.)
Let the word Cannabis remind us that this indigenous herb, which the self-destructive dominator culture feels it needs to persecute so much, is in fact one of the many gifts from the abundant Earth... as natural as the clouds, the rain, the corn in the fields and all the many fruits of our gracious intelligent, and loving planet, Gaia.

cannabist

One who has an affinity for all things relating to cannabis. Can be a synonym for a cannabis connoisseur. A cannabist is essentially more than a marijuana smoker, he or she is a marijuana enthusiast. A cannabist can often be spotted with his nose in a baggie of bud for long periods of time, or examining a nugget or brick of hash up close with a magnifying class as if it was a piece of jewelry. Most cannabists are familiar with most aspects of cannabis culture-- breeding, growing, smoking, rolling, smoking device construction, etc. Some may contend a cannabist is nothing more than a marijuana geek.

1. Unreasoning or irrational fear of cannabis or exaggerated prejudice toward recreational and/or medical users of cannabis.
2. Believing propaganda or myths such as marijuana being a dangerous drug on par with heroine and cocaine.

Cannabian

A person who lives their life for Cannabis, whether recreationally or medicinally. A true "cannabian" feels 4:20 pm arriving with enough foresight to roll a doobie in time. Cannabians like hemp ANY/EVERYTHING. They get the munchies and know exactly what combinations of Doritos, Chocolate Cupcakes and Strawberry milk will neutralize the cannabis and promote a sense of well-being that pharmaceuticals just cannot offer.

I am so Cannabian that my dorm voted me 'most likely to suck seeds'.
