similar to a walkabout, it is a spiritual journey in which a person wanders alone into the wilderness with no particular destination until they find some deeper meaning to their lives. In this case, the journey is taken by bike instead of by foot.

It does not necessarily have to be in complete wilderness, it can include biking through populated areas, but must remain a solo journey with minimal human contact.

After all the crap I've been through lately, I've really felt a loss of identity, I can't seem to make sense of who I am anymore. I need to find myself. I think I'll go on a bikeabout and find out what it's all about.

individual defined by wearing excessively tight designer jeans, hooded sweatshirt (usually black) puma style sneakers. Usually seen riding and expensive fixed gear bicycle such as a nagasawa, san rensho, bianchi pista which has been outfitted with Phil Wood hubs, and Velocity rims of various colors. These posers give cycling and bike messengers a bad name.
