The battle was a one-sided conflict and Hitler's staff knew the end of the war was near. Neverless, he ordered that none should surrneder and they'd press on. Once Soviet troops were within 500 meters of the Führerbunker, Adolf Hitler and his wife, Eva braun, commited suicide. After the germans surrendered at Berlin, only the occupied city of Prague was left in German hands.
