Long term relationship that hasn't evolved beyond doing stuff at weekends, and in which conversations about long term commitment are not really welcomed.

Friends realised this was a delaytionship when they'd still not got civil partnered despite him proposing three years ago, and they spent most of their time apart, in separate homes.
