Feeling of sadness or depression, usually felt in the teen years. The whole depression thing isn't really helped by the fact that almost all rock music (the music most angsty people I know listen to,) is aout NOTHING BUT being depressed, or contemplating suicide. But a lot of angsty teens listen anyway, because they think that they can relate to super rich adult celebrities.

A feeling of anxiety, hopelessness and misery, especially when regarded as unwarranted and melodramatic. Usually associated with the sort of people who write lame pissed-off poetry in high-school, hence the phrase "teen angst."

when said that someone has "angst personality" means that, that person sees the world as a gray dark world without hope nor good sides. He/she usually doesn't care about others nor him/herself. An "Angst Culture" is also rising in the Scandinavia, where more and more people become "Angsted".
