wokening

Being "woke" does not happen all at once -- it is a process, sometimes long and gradual. Sometimes it's interrupted by a bad relationship, family obligations, or just dumb choices.

Janie's Wokening began at age sixteen, but her grandmother wanted her married right away so she was not finally woke until she turned 40. But thank God she was because she helped a lot of people.

weaseling

(Verb form of weasel) When asked a question or required to make a rebuttal that one would rather not be clear about due to embarrassment. Or expose a lie or some transgression, a "weasel" will dance around the subject without directly addressing it ... that is "weaseling". Similar to post-truth but lies or emotion may not necessarily be involved. You hear politicians do this all the time, never directly answering the question.

Teacher: Please explain such and such (requiring a very precise canned answer)
Student: "well.. it boils down to this ..." (playing for time to think)
Shout form back of the room: "Weaseling"

Teacher: "we're not boiling eggs..." Moves on to the next student.

To be participating in the activities generally associated with the weekend. Such activities include going out with friends, watching television, procrastinating from unpleasant tasks, etc. Antonym of Mondaying.

"I am sooo happy the week is finally over"
"What are you up this weekend?"
"I dunno yet, just weekending I guess."

Alexander is an expert at weaseling when everyone loses their shit on Twitter. Instead he watches, laughs maniacally and collects the details.
