when someone goes over the top in trying to show their irish pride. most often used to describe people of irish ancestory trying to show their "irish-ness" on St. Patricks Day

Guy One: Dude all these people look the same at this St. Patricks Day parade with their Guiness Hats, IRA T-Shirts, and lepercaun pants.

Guy Two: Yeah dude they're all totally Shamrocked!

(2) To inflict severe injury upon someone as leverage to facilitate the extortion of money.

"Shamrock" is most frequently encountered in the passive, as in, "you have been shamrocked." (Origin: Shamrock Towing, a notoriously unethical business in the greater Columbus, Ohio area, ca. 1957)
