Get the Illegal Recruiter mug.Someone who "talks the talk" which the IT people can't. We are the people that protect the candidates and negotiate on their behalf. (There are some that just don't care where you work, how much you make, etc they just want a commission) but there are others out there who still care and have moral fiber.
I placed a candidate with a client of mine recently. He was really excited and wanted it to go permanent. We negotiated with the Management to have him brought in full time.
I asked the candidate how much he'd like for perm salary he said "70-75k" well I knew the range so got him 85k a year instead. I was elated to find him a position he liked for more that he was asking. That is the fun part of my job!!
