The most amazing, groundbreaking, & innovative band in Hip-Hop today. One of the only groups of all Genre's that bless the fans with an even better album then the last with each new release. The band evolves and innovates every step of the way.
The band's latest release Game theory is the 7th release and the best one yet. For true fans of the group the flava' at times seems to touch back on Things Fall Apart and even Organix while maintaining a newer, never attempted direction all at once. The album is seamless. One can literally see the track change, however, you cannot HEAR it. Its flow eminates genius. One might compare its transitions and non-stop streaming to that of Dark Side of The Moon.
While The Roots remain the most under-rated band in hip-hop today, all fans agree: There Is no other Hip Hop act out there bringin it like this.

The feeling when you're so high that you begin to melt into whatever you're sitting or laying on. The feeling originates in there main areas, the back of your head, your spine, and your feet. The rest of the body then begins to follow and plant it's roots. You have to resist the urge to fall asleep.

Nappy Roots

"One of em's fat and loud, second one's black and proud, the third one's drunk and wild, the fourth one's slim and sly, one of em's just shy, last one's young and wise, home grown, battle tested, you gonna love these guys" -(from their song "nappy roots day").

"Nappy Roots" is a rap group consisting of 6 guys that met as students at Western Kentucky University, 2 of them are from Oakland and the other 4 were born and raised in Kentucky. Their country pride is evident in just about all of their songs. Nappy Roots is most well known for their hits: "aw naw" and "po folks".

rootstep

Subgenre of dubstep that emphasizes the origins of the genre, primarily it's Jamaican influences. Rootstep is known for it's concentration on sub bass lines, a 2-step drum pattern, and a 140 bpm. It is often times distinguished by it's tribal sound as it tends to stray away from the influences of electro and other popular dance music.

Yungbooty Riots: ATR

After the suspicions of an organization created by the Tigersharks in Northern Iran. The government started their attempt to find the organizations. Northern Iran were assumed to be infecting people, causing humans to become tigersharks. This turned out to be real, and the purpose of the organization was truly found. But, these Transformation Plants were not only in Iran, but also in Western Armenia and Georgia. After the people fully learned about this, they started a riot that is also known as "Anti-Tigershark Riot" or "ATR.” Hundreds of thousands of people went out against the tigersharks. The roads and streets were filled by embittered people trying to overthrow the tigersharks and stop them from causing terrible crimes, but the tigersharks’ answer to them was to start infecting these rioting people. Nobody actually expected this, as it was said to only be possible in these Transformation Plants, so everybody started to panic, and seeked shelters to save their lifes. The unlucky ones who got infected, lost their mind, ability to speak, understand anything and became one of the tigersharks that were acting like a demented form of Zombies. The people who got to safety, were scared and anxious. What if these freaks could get to them, what happens if they get infected? They understood that this world can't end like that, and a one of the military leaders that did escape the riots, was able to call the President, and they had only one idea to solve this scenario; a genocide

Yungbooty Riots: ATR. There were three major ATRs. The 5th, 6th, and 7th Riots were made up of The ATRs.

The Roots

Uhm... They're not much. Just the greatest god damned hip-hop group of the 90s. I'm listening to "Things Fall Apart" right now, and I'm seriously in awe at how much better this is than any other rap album that's ever been released in the history of music.

Person A: Yo sunnn! I jus kawpped fiddy's nu owl bum 2day. Wut ju git wit yo munny sun?

Person B: Something that's actually worth listening to. I bought an album by "The Roots".

Person A: Aint nobody wunna heer dat shyt sun. put dat shyt away.

Person B: Listen to this.

Person A: Damn, I can't believe I waisted 4 years of my life lsitening to that 50 Cent trash when I could've been indulging my brain in intelligent hip-hop like this. I'm even using proper grammar now.
