People's freedom of choices and voices act

A legal statute in Canada that affords a defendants ability to a fair trial. With the invocation of it, defendants are allowed to express themselves at a court level to avoid a mistrial. Some of the most common rights granted by this act are the abilities to smoke and swear in court

Ricky: "Your majesty, I would like to make a request under the People's freedom of choices and voices act that I be able to smoke and swear in your court. If I can't smoke and swear in your court, I can't represent myself at a court level and that's a fuckin' mistrial!"

Judge: "Richard, you have permission to smoke and swear in my courtroom, but please be advised, this is not a carnival."

Used to describe a diverse section of society who regularly engages in the act of playing video games or participates in the gaming community.

Adopted after many instances governments and journalists utilising the noun "Gamer" as a derogatory slur. Sick of being persecuted for the actions of a radical few, the community stopped using the term in an attempt to reduce their hard felt oppression.

Wouldn’t touch it with a bargepole is an expression indicating extreme dislike and distaste for an object, person or situation. The expression can be used in a similar way to wouldn’t touch her with a 10 foot pole, but is not solely applicable to females; it is even more disparaging when used about a female as it treats her as something less than human. Many bargepoles were 12 or 13 feet long, but one specialised type called a setting boom could be as long as 28 feet! So as you can imagine, wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole means something which you would much rather keep well away from.
