Perra, at least the part of Mexico my parents are from, means more than "bitch". Yes, it does mean "bitch", but it also carries a strong connotation with it. It is not a sexual one at all. What it does connote is *rabid* bitch. Perra is a bitch who has really decided to crank up the bitchiness to the Nth power. It's someone who fights "tooth and nail", whether it is for the right reasons or otherwise. I just thought it was important to point out that it's not exactly interchangeable with slut.

Mira, mejor ni te metas con ella. Es bien perra.

Look, don't even get involved with her. She's a crazy bitch. (Crazy in the sense of huge, way massive, incredibly large)
