Mom & Dad are sitting at home. You decide to pay them a visit, bringing your new friend in tow. They are suprised to find you in the company of this person and ask all sorts of odd questions. Questions you might ask in a group; as icebreakers. They dont know this person so it seems only natural I suppose. After a few hours of this "talking" you suggest that you ought to get going. Your parents express a sincere appreciation for your new friend and show that they would like them to return sometime in the near future, for more such "talks." You feel the tension leave you as you depart, a job well done

It's the manipulative version of 'dudes with dogs' photo con. Basically, the child is there fore him to seem loving and/or wanting kids down the road/marriage material. Like the cute puppy (or fancy car/fake jet, the child is the bait.

I personally find it demeaning to assume all women are so 'simple' or all want to be mothers.

Parent Teacher Conference

When your child is so fucking stupid, failing every class and showing no signs that there's no hope they'll ever graduate and move out. It's the last resort is initiated by the parents; an emergency hook up to see if anything can be "worked out".

Dad: Connie, have you seen Norman's latest report card? Goddamn it! How can this boy be so fucking stupid? He's failing 12th grade for the second year in a row. It's even worse this year than last year!!
Mom: I know Derek, but I have a solution. I have scheduled a parent teacher conference this weekend with the principal. I'm sure we'll work something out.
Dad: Whatever it takes. I can't this idiot living here one day past his 18th birthday!
