The Mandela Effect Effect

Due to the Mandela Effect which was popularized in 2010 people discovered Nelson Mandela was actually alive and did not die in prison in the 1980s. He later did die in 2013. Because the Mandela Effect is more commonly known than the effect's namesake, many people believe he is still alive.
Nelson Mandela actually died in 2013; you are the victim of the Mandela Effect Effect.

The Mandela Effect

Contrary to popular belief. The Mandela Effect has nothing to do with time travel or multiple alternate universes colliding.

The Mandela Effect is the recollection of events that never occured. (eg: Shazaam featuring Sinbad. It was actually Kazaam featuring Shaq.)

The name of the phenomena is derived from the belief that mandela died in 1991 in prison.

Second Mandela Effect

The one quote where everyone thinks that Mandela said "our deepest fears" except that it was some random bitch from Texas
Person 1: Dude remember that quote Thomas Jefferson said? Like our deepest fears something something...

Person 2: No dude it was Mandela. I saw it on Akeelah and the Bee. Remember Keke Palmer. Dude she's so hot.

Random Nerd: ACTUALLY, it was Marianne Williamson who said that. This is called the second mandela effect.

Person 1 &2: Shut up nerd.

Reverse mandela effect

When everyone around you know, and remember something you have no knowledge/recollection of.
Friend 1: Damn, did you hear that Prince died?

Friend 2: What? Are you serious?!

You: Wait, who's Prince?

Friend 1: What?! You've never heard of Prince? Everybody knows Prince!

Friend 2: Dude, you're experiencing reverse mandela effect.

Mendela Effect

Many of us — mostly total strangers — remember the exact same events with the exact same details. However, our memories are different from what’s in history books, newspaper archives, and so on.

This isn’t a conspiracy, and we’re not talking about “false memories.” Many of us speculate that parallel realities exist, and we’ve been “sliding” between them without realizing it.
OMG You remember that too that's probably just the mendela effect
