Medieval town in the South East of Ireland know for its exciting night life and being the Gay Capital of Ireland. Favourite pasttime in the area is 'hurling' which is the local term for drinking far too much and vomiting in someone's garden at four in the morning.

Tommy - "Hey man are you coming to the Pav tonight?"
Robert - "Yeah man, I'll be over in 10 minutes"
Phone call later after 20 minutes...
Tommy - "Hey dude where are you now?"
Robert - "Yeah man I'm actually on the bus to Kilkenny...."

Kilkenny town, located in the South East of Ireland has become the Gay Capital of Ireland over the last few years. This is probably because of the open attitude to gay and lesbian people and the multitude of bars and clubs that are gay night spots.

Come to Kilkenny and have a gay old time.

Kilkee

A small town on the West Clare coast. Popular with tourists since Victorian times. In the summer it's invaded by tourists , a lot of them from Limerick. These run the gamut from wannabe D4 heads in the West End playing rugby, to scobes from D'Island and Moyross. Kilkee is amazing for its long horse beach, with the bay being safe for swimming, protected by reefs either side. The West End has natural tidal bathing pools called The Pollock Holes, and an epic cliff walk from the car park to the top of Dunlickey Road. Jacques Cousteau apparently said it has some of the best scuba diving in the world. Charlotte Bronte spent her honeymoon here. Richard Harris loved it and was top dog of racketball.

I'm off to Kilkee for the weekend.
