The decade when some yuppies crushed up and snorted America's social safety net and got high for a few minutes, then went on to snort other good things America had.

Pertaining to the years 1980-1989. Being I was born in 1986, I really don't remember much of the eighties besides REALLY big hair. I mean, it was the 80s. And I'm from NEW JERSEY. People had enough hair to make a shag carpet. And of course hair was bleached blond and crazy colors. Other than that, the eighties is known for the birth of MTV, punk idols like Madonna, everything being "awesome" "tubular" "rad" or "bodacious". people were into fitness also. Basically, the eighties was a special time, but its kind of like a girlfriend that you had great sex with, but was REALLY annoying.
typical eighties girl:
"like HI...my name is Zoe and I'm from the valley, a.k.a THE VAL...we have the most bodacious parties ever! like only cool awesome kids, not those GRODY smelly losers! ugh GAG ME WITH A SPOON, cheerleadring rocks, go valley high! DUH! I love the 80s!!!!"

Both slang for OxyContin and Billy Joe's wife. Probably the most popular usage of this is in the song "80" off of Green Day's Kerplunk.
I do not mind if this goes on, cuz now it seems I'm too far gone.
I must admit admit that I am enjoyin' myself, 80 please keep taking me away...

Get the 80 mug.
An interstate that goes from New York City to San Francisco. It is almost the longest road in the U.S.
80 is boring for thousands of miles between western New York state and Central Wyoming, with nothing but farms, flat praries or cornfields.
