Up the Gumpstump

"Up the Gumpstump" is a saying used to describe a large quantity of anything.

Elderly people are more prone to saying "Up the Gumpstump" than other people. Most particularly when they are stressed about something they have a lot of.

Merged words (gump & stump) believed to be originated from the words gum stump. A gum stump is a stump of a gum or Eucalyptus tree.

Used as an exclamation!

Geez Jim, we've got gophers up the gumpstump!

My my Helen, I have fleas up the gumpstump!

Holy toledo! Mutant Ninja Turtles up the gumpstump!

GEMPUS

a strange autocorrect experienced on some phones. Usually when people become inebriated, this gets typed instead of the intended word which is grumpy when sending a text message. Thus, it has become a synonym of grumpy

One of Forrest Gump-like disposition, lacking in basic cognitive and linguistic skills. Possessing a knack for having a constant look of bemusement on their face.

Also used to describe the language spoken/typed by a person of Gumpish disposition.

Matthew: "he ring up late not and got tell there is no problem with it."

A person who is constantly grumpy, or occasionally suffering from a very high level of grumpiness.

A grumpustiltskin, is a term used for a major grumpus.
