They usually join the fandom for political reasons or to damage the public image of the fandom.

Only justified when it's against Tiktok because 1. - Tiktok as a whole is ruining our youth and is useless to humanity, and 2. - it's not even a cause worth defending. Other than those instances, gate keeping is trash.
