Dorbism

Derived from the term "Don't Rock the Boat" (DoRB), Dorbism describes the tendency inherent in many senior managers, or those with a stake in a system, to do nothing to improve services, address problems or tackle problematic people/issues.

A reluctance to act as a positive change agent due to the perceived risk that such action will be viewed negatively by superiors or others with influence (including the press)

Despite the Government's recent cuts in funding for education, the Dorbism of university Vice Chancellors is clear from their relative silence on the matter.

My boss is proving to be rather dorbist on the matter of recent staff redundancies

One who is a dork to the maximum possible extent; to be a dork means that one is stupid, foolish, clumsy, or inept. Thus, the 'maximus' variety will be an extremely stupid or foolish idiot.
