Derived from the term "yuppie".
A buppie is a "black urban professional". They probably attended a HBCU. Howard, Morehouse, Spelman, or Morgan State can be some of the schools they graduated from. They probably crossed over to a sorority or fraternity like Alpha Phi Alpha and Alpha Kappa Alpha. They the have a degree in business, law, finance, or accounting and their goal in life is to be featured in Black Enterprise.
You'll find a large number of Buppies in Chicago, D.C., Harlem, and Atlanta. They more than likely do business in the entertainment industry. They usually hang out in groups and let it be known that they're well endowed by wearing unknown yet expensive designer clothes and yelling on their smart phones in VERY public places. They also seek out any opportunity they can to brag about their MBA, greek life, and "beating the odds". They also take pleasure in berating any black person with questions about what college they went to, who did the pledge to, and their past economic standings.
The buppie social life is very crucial to them but describe their constant partying as "networking".
The buppie lifestyle usually recycles over generations.

Baby+Puppy= Buppy -a young handsome brave canine very small in stature with a confident prance, rambunctious energy tenacious attitude. The proud owner is often an individual who can not or did not have children. Babying a Buppy results in canine confusion, obsessive behavior, severely spoiled and non-compliant best friend with separation anxiety.
Before I got my Buppy I had a problematic marriage, but now I sleep with my Hero every night and my husband sleeps on the couch.

Boiling water added to bread, usually with the crust removed, with salt and pepper added. It takes on the consistency of English porridge or Scottish ground oats groats which are pronounced grits in the American South and made with ground corn (maize). The name for it is English but it probably originated in North Wales where the extreme poverty of slate miners meant it was the only thing they had to eat. There it is called sgotyn, pronounced scot-ton, and means Scotsman's breakfast, more a reference to the poverty of their Celtic cousins who were also bled dry economically by the Saxons (English).
