Abattoir Blues

From the song by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, used to describe the depressed feeling you get about the modern world in general. An abattoir is a slaughterhouse, so the term, in a more in depth way, means you feel the world is lining itself up for slaughter, much like cows do at a slaughterhouse.

Man 1: Hey, are you all right? You've seemed kinda depressed lately.
Man 2: Oh, it's okay, I've just got a case of abattoir blues.

apatheist

Someone who just doesn't care whether God exists or not and realizes that such a fact won't effect their life anyway, comes from the word 'apathy' meaning "absence of emotion" and 'theism' meaning "belief in God"

Susan: "Are you an Atheist? Agnostic? Theist? What???"

Ryan: "None of the above, I really just don't give a shit"

Susan: "So what are you then?"

Ryan: "An apatheist because, like I said, I just don't give a shit and wonder why anyone else does too"

Fear of being cheated on apátise (απάτησε) meaning cheated on and Phobia meaning fear

Person 1: I find it hard to open up to her
Person 2: But I haven't done anything to break your trust
Person 1: You're always smiling at your phone
Person 2: That doesn't mean I'm cheating counselor what do you think
Relationship counselor: I think he might have Apátisphobia

apathy kun

reference to the very sad and tragic fan fiction of Bokuto Koutarou and Akaashi Keiji, In Another Life, by LittleLuxray on AO3. Bokuto does not know Akaashi's name at the start, so he calls him "Apathy Kun" instead.

in other words, if you mention this to someone who's read the fic, please do expect to be hit with a shovel.

Apathostic

A religious philosophy where the adherent, while recognising that there may or may not be a higher power at work in the universe, just simply doesn't care.

I was reading an epic flame war between Atheists and Theists about the nature of God, and I realised that I simply don't care if it's true or not. I think I've become Apathostic.

fall apart

1 - If something falls apart, it breaks into pieces because it is old or badly made.

2 - If an organization or system falls apart, it becomes disorganized or unable to work effectively, or breaks up into its different parts.

3 - If you say that someone is falling apart, you mean that they are becoming emotionally disturbed and are unable to think calmly or to deal with the difficult or unpleasant situation that they are in.

Ex1: "The work was never finished and bit by bit the building fell apart."
Ex2: "I guess it was like that for you when your company started to fall apart."
Ex3: "I was falling apart. I wasn't getting any sleep."
