The belief that women and men should have the same rights and should be treated equally. This also fights so the gender roles are supresed for both genders. This doesn't want the supperiority of women it wants the same for both.

If their decisions have put them in that situation perhaps we need to look at where our society could have supported better decision making. Our minority groups are now in more powerful positions than they ever have been in history. Minority groups have changed several laws and frameworks of our society without having initial democracy lean towards their views.

A feminist is someone who fights for equal rights between men and women, since women are still being opressed all over the world in many, many different ways. An example of this opression is the pay gap, which many wrongly believe to be a myth, despite it being very easy to find plenty of evidence with just a quick and simple google search. Feminism tries to fight this opression through protests and campaigns like #freethenipple or #freewomen.
