Ghetto painting 

"painting" a piece of wood furniture or furnishing with a permanent magic marker, usually a sharpie, so that the piece of furniture now "matches" the color of other furniture/furnishings in the room

The wood on that chair didn't match my new entertainment center so I did some ghetto painting with a black sharpie and now they match, sweet.

Usually applies to a person, but can be a place or thing. Implies such noun is classified as a regular or permanent characteristic/ trait of the hood.

"You're so ghetto - reg ; you're never going to leave the hood!"

Or, "I should have known not to shop at the swap meet. The inside of that place has 'ghetto-reg' written all over it!"

And, "Could his pants fall any further from his behind? That is so ghetto-reg."
